June 16, 201412 yr Author If you want a truly unique fried chicken experience try Prince's Hot Chicken. Not far from downtown. Warning: Get the mildest you can. Prince's Hot Chicken Shack - Nashville, TN | Yelp Been there. Loved it. I got Medium, the fiance' got mild. Way too hot for her, medium was ridiculously hot, but I loved it.
June 28, 201412 yr Burger Up is a neat little restaurant/bar that isn't right in the tourist section. There are some cool shops and bars in the area as well. We arrived today and are renting a home for three days. I went for a run shortly after arriving and this joint is a half mile away from the house. We hit Broadway tonight and to say that area is electric would be an understatement. It is raining so hard right now we may end up as part of the Cumberland river.

Any recommendations as for hotels(reasonably priced) to stay in that are within walking distance of some of the restaurants or sites that have been mentioned on this thread? Will be staying on a Tuesday-Thursday in early October. Thanks

Get lots of beautiful nature and still easy access to downtown.

There are hotels in the $100 or so range within walking distance of Broadway,etc. Just wondering if anyone has had any experience at any of these particular hotels? How's the drive from Northern Kentucky, are things difficult as you get closer to Nashville? road construction,etc. Is early October a good time to go?

I can make Nashville in about 4:15 from NKY. Early October is a great time to go.
June 28, 201412 yr we booked downtown thru priceline. 125/night. 3 blocks from Broadway. I hate driving in cities I'm not familiar with, especially after a night of ***** tonkin. Had a blast there,will be going back

June 28, 201412 yr Sheraton. Any taxi ride downtown is only 5 bucks. We cabbed it back to the hotel both nights.

Any recommendations of a certain bed and breakfast? My only concern with that is that once I'm in a B&B or a hotel I don't want to drive downtown because of bar hopping,etc in the night time
