May 21, 201412 yr Of course everyone would like for him to be pitching this weekend. That doesn't mean you go out of your way to juggle the rotation, which outside of Homer has been phenomenal, just so he can pitch in a game in the middle of May.
May 21, 201412 yr You guys do not want the Reds best pitcher facing the Cards on Sunday night baseball? Wow! Cueto has already thrown I think 77 innings. He needs all the rest he can get, these things have a way of catching up on you later in the year. Plus as UKMF said, no sense in Juggling your rotation this early
May 21, 201412 yr The Cards do not feel the same. Wainwright starting in five days after a complete game one hitter.
May 21, 201412 yr The Cards do not feel the same. Wainwright starting in five days after a complete game one hitter. Once again the Cardinals DO NOT have an off day between now and Sunday. Are they supposed to start their #6 starter against the Reds?
May 22, 201412 yr And this one belongs to the Reds. Simon goes to 6-2. Chapman gets save #3. Reds win a road series. MJ can continue.
May 22, 201412 yr You me HT. Thank you very much. Yes, my bad. Great job HT. If not for Colonel Crazy you would have had a road series sweep.
May 22, 201412 yr The Cards do not feel the same. Wainwright starting in five days after a complete game one hitter. As mentioned, the Cards do not have the day off so their decision to pitch Wainwright is no brainer. Leake is scheduled for Sunday and he has an 8 inning shutout game in his only start versus the Cards this year so unless you are skipping Cingrani it doesn't make since to move Leake out of this series. I believe the current St Louis hitters have a .190 career average versus Cingrani so not too shabby. I am a fan of juggling the rotation the last two months of the season if you have ground to make up. I remember years ago Bobby Cox juggled his lineup in early August when the Reds were on their heals and Marty was bashing the idea. Well, we saw Maddox, Glavine and Avery and were swept essentially ending the race. Bottom line, Cueto will wear down at the pace of inning's he is throwing right now.
May 22, 201412 yr Wasn't able to check BGP much last night but glad the Reds pulled that one out. I'll take a series win on the road against the Nats. I know we've talked about it, but Simon has been UNREAL.
May 22, 201412 yr And this one belongs to the Reds. Simon goes to 6-2. Chapman gets save #3. Reds win a road series. MJ can continue. haha yeah this one wasn't mine. But I'm still happen with my series record on the year so far.
May 22, 201412 yr Well, we all know what happens next ... Reds win. As predicted ... terrible lineup yet Reds win. This stuff happens so much in baseball it almost makes you think any time a team is in a slump and/or needs a win, put the crappiest lineup you can think of on the field and see what happens.
