He might be an idiot off the screen but its absurd to me that he wouldn't be considered a top 50 actor for everything he's been in.Not a very stellar resume: 1. Zero Oscar wins. 2. Zero Oscar nominations. 3. Zero Golden Globe wins. 4. Two Golden Globe nominations. Lethal Weapon series was fun, but I wouldn't say Mel was showing off too many acting chops during it. May 9, 201412 yr It'll be interesting....I think I'm sticking with Day-Lewis.DDL is up there and pretty dang awesome. But no way is he a sure-fire lock.

If ya'll don't think he's good, I won't argue because I know I'm biased, but you can't tell me this isn't at least a good movie. In my opinion it's great and he was great in it. Mad Max wasn't? We Were Soldiers? Conspiracy Theory wasn't good? Maybe he just isn't a good actor because he plays a few crazy people and he's crazy in real life.
