May 9, 201412 yr Author Thanks to MJ for reminding me I needed to get back. Took my wife for lunch and actually ran into MJ. I was going to mention that I ran into a BGP legend down there today. Nice to meet you Clyde. Tell ya what guys. As good as advertised. Went with the Smoked Turkey sandwich, baked beans, and the mac & cheese. All three were fantastic.

I will tell you I have started some conversations with some interesting folk by what they brought to drink. I have seen beers I have never heard of as well as some tasty home brew people have shared.

I know it's like that at Tony York's in Glendale, which is in a dry area of Hardin County. If I'm not mistaken, I thought I saw someone say that's the way it is at Patti's 1880 Settlement in Grand Rivers on LBL.

May 10, 201412 yr I believe you but how is that legal? Anyone? I don't have any cites to statutes or anything, but I believe it has to do with whether or not the establishment serves alcohol. Every BYOB place I've ever been to does not serve alcohol. I know it's the same with golf courses, too. Technically, if the golf course sells alcohol, you cannot bring your own cooler/beer on the course. If the golf course does not have alcohol for sale, you're free to bring a cooler on (I think).

May 11, 201412 yr Eli's has great barbeque - there are only about 5 tables inside. People will sit at picnic tables outside or bring their own blankets and chairs. Hot spot to go for an informal evening with family/friends
August 25, 201412 yr I attended the Brew Ha Ha at Sawyer Point and Eli's had a booth. Absolutely phenomenal pulled pork sandwich with cole slaw on top and a toasted bun. The best $5 I spent and that's including some great craft beer.

August 25, 201412 yr was there yesterday . GREAT !!! first time for the hot dawgs -- smoked , then I think deep fried maybe ? the placed on a grilled bun , topped with slaw and crispy pork tidbits and drizzled with BBQ sauce . That 5 dollar pork sandwich is off the charts good . Mac and cheese was as good as Panera Bread
January 25, 201511 yr I checked out the new BBQ place in OTR called Pontiac's. Thank God I have Eli's to go back to for good BBQ. Pontiac's is overpriced and generic.
