I thought I heard them say on the radio on the way in this morning that it is illegal in California to record someone without their consent. What's said is said but I expect a lawsuit there. Said TMZ could even potentially be in trouble for releasing an illegal recording.

There could potentially be reason to be concerned. The one thing these owners actually fear (if anything at all) is the players fomenting dislike for them among the general public. A future team's owner could potentially think "If these guys took a stand here, what else might they take a stand on?" Heaven knows I've been screaming for years to bring these criminal owners under control and the fear of that actually happening could lead to players being blackballed for refusing to play.
