April 28, 201412 yr I don't disagree. Was just posing a question and a possible excuse NBA may use. NBA needs to handle him like MLB did Marge Schott. Schott is the closest analogy I can think of.

Basically forcing him to sell the franchise the same as Marge Schott was pretty much forced to do. 2. Anyone who says the players should boycott the games is just being silly. It's not the players or coaches etc. fault their owner is an idiot and bigot. 3. NAACP is a joke. 1st and foremost they were about to award him a lifetime achievement award (this after his history of being a bigot and racist) 2nd he was already awarded a lifetime achievement award back in 2009 (awarded it while he was in the middle of another racist and bigoted lawsuit) 3rd, who gets 2 lifetime achievement awards from the same organization? You want to know how and why that happens? The answer is simple...MONEY! The NAACP is all about the money and that is the only way known racists like this get honored by an organization that is all about the equality of African Americans. The NAACP is as crooked and fake as many other organizations that there #1 goal is making money as a non profit organization.
April 28, 201412 yr If the tape is deemed authentic I think the following should happen. 1. The other NBA owners go to Sterling and demand he sell the team. if that doesn't work 2. The players union agrees that as long as Sterling is the owner no member of the union will play for the Clippers. With no players and corp sponsors jumping ship the value of the team will sink like a rock I would imagine.

When you have an opportunity to make a statement and take a stand on a societal issue, that's worth a lot more and meaningful than a game." If I were one of those players, there is no chance I'd want to work towards giving that racist a championship.

In addition to becoming free agents, Sterling is obligated to make up the difference in any contract they might receive from another team. For example, if Paul is owed $20M a year and he only gets $15M from another team, Sterling is required to pay the extra $5M.

April 28, 201412 yr Explain. There are things written into the NBA bylaws and constitution that don't just allow the league to do whatever the hell they want. Owners have rights. They can't just ignore the CBA with the players union either.

Why should a player who maybe has played for a long time and never won anything have to throw all their hard work out the window and forfeit the playoff games that he is playing in because of comments made by his idiot owner? It's not fair to the players. Do you think Paul Pierce would be fine with just forfeiting the playoffs?
