He's an idiot and a mortal scumbag but she set him up. I would venture a guess that this isn't the first time Sterling has went on a rant like that in front of her. I would be more inclined to think this was a "set-up" if Sterling hadn't paid out the largest Federal fine ever for housing discrimination or have such a long list of people accusing him of this type of thing. For a guy who apparently does well in business, you'd think that he'd have learned his lesson with this kind of thing by now and not walked into some "set-up". For his sake, he should probably hope that it is illegitimate or altered, otherwise he's just digging the hole waaaay deeper.
April 27, 201412 yr I just heard the portion of the audio that was about Magic Johnson. I don't hear one thing racist in that part. Sterling basically praises Magic, says he is a friend and respects him but tells her not to post pictures with Magic nor bring him to games. I understand the owner of the Clippers not wanting his girlfriend promoting Magic or bringing him to Clippers games. Based on the lawsuit and the girlfriend's claim she would get even with Sterling, I do believe she baited Sterling. I also find ironic that he has a black girlfriend but he is racist. I am not going to defend Sterling as I have not heard all the audio and because he apparently has a history. However, I will repeat, I find nothing racist in his Magic Johnson comments.

While I agree with you to an extent, I also disagree with some of your earlier comments that she should get everything, as if she should profit from this. A lot of conflicting, confusing statements on there. Is the whole audio all about Magic and her associating with him publicly and at games? That is the impression I got as I listened to it all. No doubt, there are a number of statements on there that sound racist. The first half of the audio where he talks about culture and how others in the culture view each other - that is racist. Then in the second half of the tape he doesn't sound racist at all. He has a lot of explaining to do. I will not condemn him based solely on this audio, but he has his work cut out for him in explaining this.

Why is their defense 'we need to see if the tape was altered' instead of 'his words were taken out of context'? The coaches and players of the Clippers apparently heard enough. Who is Silva and what did he say?
