Well, he has a history of stuff like this and he still has an NBA team and most of the players are black as far as I can tell. My guess is when you're being paid well, you might tend to look the other way.

But, he is white and old, you know, he grew up in a different era so it's okay, it's all he knows, right?

First of all, even if he believes the crap he believes, you don't say it publicly or at least where it can be recorded. Second, most of his employees are minorities that make him a ton of jack. Third, this could/should affect his fan base. I'm guessing he might have less attendees to his team's games in the future, but did his past comments cause him to loose money?

Different set of rules for players and owners. If you've got the cash, the league will let you do whatever you want.

Sterling as been a tool bag for years. Did you see a picture of his wife? Who says money doesn't buy happiness.

1) But again, he is old and from a different era, those people get a free pass correct?

If anything, it reinforces Hank Aaron's statements about "racists in suits" and probably ought to vindicate him from some of the abuse he took...

But not in many of them do the owners have a league structure that SHOULD hold them to a higher standard, not to mention fans that should have stones to speak out.

 

But Americans LOVE to keep their sports and their politics separate to an extent that fans sometimes appear to be figuratively closing their eyes and putting their fingers in their ears whenever a problem comes up.
