Let's be clear; this is not the thought process of all Northern Kentucky 6A coaches. There are plenty that have no qualms about playing Trinity, St. X, or any other Louisville school.

We'll go back a few years when it was set up like that. The same people had to face the dreaded Louisville schools in the first rounds every year, they complained and it was changed.

 

Now they want to change it back.

 

Another case of be careful what you wish for. You might get it.

 

As to the "and from Central Kentucky", those are the schools that will be playing the 6A juggernauts from NKY if this goes through, no wonder they are in favor, they can also dodge the evil Louisville schools.

 

But wait, that would mean that a Western KY school would have to face a sinister Louisville school in the semis every year. That can't possibly be fair :ohbrother:

Certainly seems unanimous to me.

And he is the only one that wears both hats. Believe what you want but not all "COACHES, HEAD AND ASSISTANT" share his thought process.

Personally I hate traveling down 71 to Louisville. They should call 71 deer alley.

No one is afraid of Louisville 6A schools. Its 2 schools, Trinity and St. X. NKY 6A schools can compete with all the other 6A schools in the state. But then again no one in the state competes with them consistently so what is the beef. They will be matched up with somebody. Because NKY schools make a proposal that would benefit them as far as playoff travel and gate they are "begging" not to play Louisville 6A. Think you miss read this situation. "Overblown" by people that have a great program and want to constantly remind people how great their program is. I think its funny how these same people talk how 6A in NKY is so bad because they can't compete with the all mighty Louisville 6A (Trinty and X, wink wink) but is any other 6A schools in the state been able to do it before this past season? Between 2001-2012 the winner in the biggest school class in KY was either Trinity or St.X. The losers included other Louisville schools, Scott County, Ryle, and Simon Kenton. But only 6A in NKY is bad. If they are bad then so is the rest of 6A besides those 2. So everyone else just needs to do what ever the big 2 deems is best for all less we will be begging not to play them. And they wonder why they can't find games in KY.

Marksberry seeking the path of least resistance comes as a shock? He has built his career on it, and the fine people of Independence have bought it hook line and sinker. Some creative scheduling and the blessing of the growth of S Kenton County has just about everything to do with their success, and I would argue they win in spite of that guy.

What they should do is move cooper and Conner back to 5A, move up Highlands and Covington Catholic. Then you would see an nky team in the 6A finals 9 out of 10 times.

Highlands may be competitive, but not sure where you get CCH being In The finals in 6A. They couldn't even beat the team you said should go back to 5A in Conner.
