Heard NKY Elite won the 15u division.

Who is on this team?

NKY Elite was the 15U Gold Bracket Winners with a 49-46 win over Ohio Unity in the finals. Beat a really good Hoop Dreams team in the first round 72-65 and won their first pool game on a buzzer beater by Sean McNeil to beat Cincinnati Lakers.

Roster for this past weekend included Austin Crawford (Bracken), Luke Moeves (NCC), JC Hawkins (SK), Sean McNeil (Cooper), Cooper Scherr (Ryle), Cole Hegyi (Campbell), Noah McCubbin (Gallatin), Clark Willhoite (Carroll), Tyrion Fox (Mason), and Mason Gambrel (Conner)

Here are a few quickie highlights of the two KY boys (Schuh and Rabe) from 17U Shining Star's last 2 gold bracket games...

Nice video. Liam looks like he is playing very aggressive and with a high motor.

Bo is just being Bo...getting to the rim and dunking if its there. LOL

Another group of Kentucky boys had a nice run in the U17 group-Kentucky Royals.

They were second in their pool, won the first game in the Silver bracket, then lost in OT in the finals to Dayton Metro.

Some of the players:

Barnes-Conner?

Rabe-Conner

Covington-Holmes

Stockwell-Boone

Kunstek-St Henry

Plus another player from Dixie and 3 others from NKY.

Stockwell and Kunstek together on the same team. It's a thing of beauty. :thumb:

I actually watched this Royals team play three times this weekend in between our games and was familiar with a handful of the kids as they are 10th graders from the old NKY Celtics team that used to have Moss on it, Williams (dont know his first name but he goes to Dixie) Kam Covington (Newport) Blake Donovan (Boone) and there is another kid that I wasnt familiar with his name but a parent told me he was also a 10th grader that plays at Boone.

In the games I watched the Donovan kid started at the G position and was playing extremely well, if not for his lack of size he would/should be getting a lot more attention than what he does as he was handling the ball, playing defense and managing the game very good and can really distribute the ball, I really enjoy watching him play, he is a true PG that you can tell loves the game, I noticed he was out with an injury in the Metro game (Thanks for posting the final to that,we left before it was over and I hope the injury is not too serious). He seems to play very well with Stockwell and Kunstek, Any idea if the group of 10th graders that are playing up with the Royals plan on playing 10th grade division as well?

Also Does anyone know who ended up winning the 16U Gold?

I have one more video I wanted to share from the tourney. Bo Schuh had two hard, textbook block outs that resulted in big boys from the other team getting frustrated and giving Bo intentional fouls...

I believe my fiance's uncle coaches this team? He was telling me they were getting some of the kids from the old Celtics back together. That team was LOADED! At one point, their front court consisted of Jarron Cumberland, Carson Williams, and Thad Moss....men among boys.

Rod was not there. They were coached by Doug Rabe from Conner.
