I always like to get to the point...you know, the simple approach.

I wish people who knew nothing about recruiting would stop making random statements. You are correct about a lot of kids NOT playing the same position in college, but film is a great indicator of a kids game speed along with his type of motor. College coaches DO value high school game film, such as hudl.

They do watch film of players.

I think film is big! Size and grades are valuable. Coaches look at that for potential and obviously potential but they watch film no matter the competition. You just better stand out more if the competition is weak.

False. And coaches don't want to see your highlight film, if anything they want full game tapes.

Of course they do. Not highlight tapes. Film is a small part of the big scheme.

I would bet that had to do more with his physical tools on paper than a 3 minute highlight film. Also offers from 10 other high level D1 schools might have given them a clue.
