It's probably God's way that you don't have a wife or kids.

God's way? Really? Or maybe he's just a young guy with no wife or kids and that makes his priorities or values different right now. I think if God was going to punish people for their thoughts or actions, he isn't going to start with UKMustangFan. #biggerfishtofry

Is this a serious post?

Not having a wife and kids is not punishment of him from God or anyone else because that is the life status he wants. My point was intended to be that if he has that kind of mercenary attitude toward marriage and children, then it is probably better for all involved that he have neither---until his attitude changes. I fully support his right not to have a spouse and children and I don't consider that a punishment by any means. To each his own. Whether because of youth (as you suggest) or otherwise, I don't think he has a good grasp of the bond between spouses and parent and child.

I will add that there is no amount of money in the world that my wife and children would take if it meant never seeing me again. I will say again, there are some things they aren't for sale.

100% truth

Wow, that is so over-the-top I can't even quantify it. Really disappointing, not to mention, blasphemous.

Of course, he doesn't. Nobody does until they actually live it.

I don't think he has a good grasp of the bond between spouses.

Given the divorce rate is around 50% (Divorce in America [infographic]) and considering 74% of men admit they'd have an affair if they knew they'd never get caught (Infidelity Statistics | Statistic Brain), who does have a good grasp on the bond between spouses? I think you're taking this HYPOTHETICAL conversation a smidge too seriously. UKMF is a good dude, let's call off the dogs a little.

I was going to post something along these lines... Marriage in this country has been made a mockery, and it's not by people UKMF's age or demographic...

Surely we don't agree that everyone has a point that everything in their lives is for sale. That's the most retarded assumptive stretch we've pored over in a while.

I'm not in agreement with what tcjkbt posted so he's/she's on his/her own. I don't disagree UKMF is a good dude, although I've never met him so he could be an axe murder for all I know.

That said anyone getting married better have a grasp on it. NOTHING, and I mean NOTHING, comes before your commitment to your spouse. And that includes a billion dollars.

No doubt.

If Warren Buffett is really looking to blow some money, he should hit this chick up. :lol2:

She would probably blow his mega-sized fortune in no time.

Morals, integrity, character. Perhaps some of you should look those words up.

Sadly, becoming more and more rare. It's a scary thought but UKMustangFan isn't as far off base as we would like to think. More people than not have a price on most matters. No absolutes , but sadly, when it comes to big dollars few can be trusted I'm afraid. Preachers, teachers, doesn't matter.

God comes first.

I'd much rather pay $1M to get mine back from the guy who took it from me! Looking back, he was SO not worthy....

It wasn't one of these kinda scenarios, was it?
