Who said the money was for you? If someone offered you $15,000,000,000 to do whatever you wish with (i.e. give to your wife and children so they and the next 10 generations of your family never had to want for anything ever again), and the only stipulation was that you could never see them again, you wouldn't even for a second consider it, if it meant significantly improving the life that they lived?
