I can't see where anyone could have a major beef with this. That being said, I can guess one fan base who may chirp a bit.

How is what I said a contradiction? Let me explain it for you in simple terms. No one should complain about the rankings, because they seemed pretty fair but one particular fan base seems to always think they should be ranked hither.

I haven't seen it posted or printed anywhere else so I figured I would put it out there. Especially since some games have already been played.

With that being said, (That was for Greg Page) You can take 3,4, 5 and flip flop them anyway you want. Until they play each other it's really hard to judge. I will get flack for having Cooper ahead of Highlands seeing how Highlands and Cooper played in Cooper's first game of the year but this is why I did it. It was Cooper's first time taking the field all year (Highlands 4th including scrimmages) and they out hit Highlands 11-4 while beating Highlands 3-0. Highlands had 3 of their 4 hits in 1 inning when Cooper had a new reliever come in for the first time and scored 4 runs in that half an inning. Highlands won but anyone who was there would admit you take that one half an inning out and Cooper outplayed Highlands . If it wasn't the first time Cooper stepped on a diamond this year I would probably have HHS ahead of Cooper but the circumstances how they were that game for the time being I have Cooper ahead.

Mayu have to rethink this. Kinmd of hard to rank them until week 3 so I should of just left it alone lol, but I was bored.

All depends on who is on the hill. I like Boone's and Cooper's chances if it's a game that has to be won.

Yea, I spoke too soon. Cooper pitching was not good at all today and gave up 12 runs and game got called due to darkness as they went down 10-12 to NCC.

 

Ugly pitching all around, over 20 hits given up and 4 errors both teams combined for made the windfest at NKU a long ordeal.

 

Id drop cooper back down around 7th until they figure out their relief pitching.

Unlike football and basketball, a baseball team changes lineups game to game. So how do you rank them?

 

One-game matchup contest?

Enough pitching depth to win 3 games in the region?

Overall W/L?

 

 

In a one-game matchup Cooper will be ranked highly because of Dunn. Do they have enough strong pitching to win 3 in a row in the region?

Boone would rank highly in a one-game matchup. Do they have enough?

 

I lean towards "enough pitching to win 3 games in the region" as a method to rank.

 

Who has enough pitching depth for that measure?

3 Games: Beechwood

I still believe Dixie has the deepest pitching staff in the 9th region, assuming of course a team will probably need more than 3 pitcher's in the regional tournament.
