I'm really interested to see how CCH fares. Seems like they lost a lot of starters from last year.

Nope. They've beaten teams in their region but have yet to beat Boone, Conner or Ryle.

 

Last year they would win against teams like Beechwood but couldn't win against any district team. Been frustrating.

Schiever will have to be patient, looks like other players are taking advantage. Pope's granny, Galvin's homer, a ton of extra base hits..... I thought Cov Cath would stuggle more this year.

I guess this is a 9th region poll only. If its NKY why isnt Simon Kenton and Scott getting any press. I know Scott lost a lot but I think these schools are still in NKY and Bishop Brossart lost its first three games scoring only one run but giving up 31.

As for why SK and Scott were not included, they received votes but not enough to crack the top 10.

Not a bad poll. I think that's fair given the early games that have been played. As I said it was just out of curiosity that I asked.

I would put Highlands in the same boat as Cooper, in the respect that until you can prove it on the field, no reason to move you up in the rankings.

While I don't know how CCH played this week, this was the preseason poll. Obviously if CCH won their games while nobody has played any then it's easy to say CCH should be at #1. But the teams ahead of Cov Cath in the poll I posted are all very good teams and have a large amount of talent. I'd wait to see how the other teams perform before I start jumbling the order.

 

I'm glad you would wait but me, I'm just giving my opinion. Other teams do have a large amount of talent and don't want to take anything away from them at all. Just my opinion.

Prove what on the field? They won their district the past 2yrs beating NCC in the finals both years. Last year they faced the worst possible draw for them in St. Henry with Kuebbing on the mound. The Dirty Birds are for real this year.

I'm not saying that they aren't a good team but there's no way they belong above any of the teams ranked ahead of them. Why would they?
