That is a late time for the championship game. That has to make it one of the last games that day.

Pretty sure it's the last game.

It was the same deal last year, by the time I left the arena and got to dinner the selection show was on.

That is what I was thinking. It used to always be an early tip and end well before the Big 10 conference title game would start.

What if the title game went to 5 OTs and those team's seeds were affected depending upon the outcome?

I have never understood why they insist on having the selection show at that time. Make it a Primetime event on CBS and it gives the selection committee more time to digest the final games. Instead, they are often forced to put down alternate scenarios depending upon how teams win/lose the final hours of the season.

LSU will probably be U.K.'s opponent on Friday night, should the Cats get past that one I really like the chances to be in the final vs. Fla..

Taking your scenario a step further....What happens if a team with no other shot at the tournament, like USC, goes on a magical run and makes the title game, and that goes 3-4 OT's? Do they just push back the selection show until it ends?

Another early exit for the Cats.

Yes, possibly so. I do think if they can get by LSU (can't believe I am saying that), they have a good shot at advancing to the title game and a third loss to the Gators.

I would say so. Apparently they come up with multiple brackets depending upon what teams win the late games. But why go through all that rigamarole and instead wait a few hours later to announce everything?

One of the analyst talking about the SEC tournament before the Auburn-South Carolina game predicted UK to lose their first game of the tourney. He had zero confidence in the Cats.

What's the over/under on attendance for first session?

Fair crowd, most were UK fans. They are everywhere down here. The Blue Mist have arrived. Now just hope the boys will give us lots to cheer about.

The Big Blue faithful is in town, better hope the Cats show up to play.

A similar situation happened in 2011 when the Big Ten played the late game. Penn State, at 16-13 before the tournament started, was a bubble team at best, but made a run to the Big Ten tournament final. The Nittany Lions fell to Ohio State but were subsequently given a 10-seed in the NCAA Tournament, where they lost to Temple.

If the Big Ten final had been Saturday night or Sunday at noon, does Penn State get in?
