Close game until Dawson Cooper picked up third foul in the 3rd quarter. Coach Brown put him on the bench & Augusta immediately went on a run, taking a lead it would never relinquish. I thought Cooper was outstanding tonight. Glad we'll have another year watching him. Darren Edwards played fairly well for the Black Devils also.

Bach was sensational tonight, especially in the 2nd half. And Connor Maddox was deadly from the perimeter. As others have said, this was a fun game to watch.

Guys, it was 37-34 Robertson Co. I called it Bach time in the update thread. He outscores the whole Robertson Co. team 29-25 the rest of the way. That doesn't include any assists either. Augusta outscores Robertson 41-25 to end the game Bach is the real deal.

Bach out scored his whole team as well.

Saw this on twitter:Augusta won it's first regional game since 1950 tonight.

Congrats to Augusta and good luck against Montgomery County.:thumb:

I just wanted to say how impressed I was with RCHS's effort last night. They played hard and were very effective with Coach Brown's game plan. First class team with first class people. We'll try to carry the torch as far as we can for us "little guys".

Not since the days of Chris Lofton and Preston Knowles, will even throw in Mason Monroe, has there been a player(not a team) that you will gladly pay to see like Bach.

Bach 6-10 from 3 and Maddox 5-10 from 3.

For those that were following young Mr. Parker's update thread, he had one or two contributions from another source on his 3-point geographical descriptors.

My favorite Randy quote of the evening - "Is that as in Valentines Day"?

Monday night will be the biggest crowd of the tournament and probably one of the biggest ever in The Fieldhouse, I would presume. Campbell,Harrison,Augusta and Montgomery all travel well

How many does the fieldhouse seat? I have always heard great things about the place, driven past it, but have not attended a game there yet.

5,000+. Probably around 4,000 there last night if I had to hazard a guess.

Was about the biggest crowd I've seen there. Monday night will be even more. I thought I heard the Fieldhouse holds 5600. Not sure about that though

I've been to regional semis and finals where they were packed in like sardines. GREAT atmosphere for a regional tourney. Tark - you ought to take in a game. I always have a standing offer to buy popcorn for a BGP'er.

Since they made some renovations, I was thinking The Fieldhouse capacity was 5,500.

Agreed.

Just had to find out because it was eatin at me. So i googledthe capacity at the Feildhouse and got conflicting reports. :lol2: By what i can gather its somewhere between 5400 and 6200. :idunno:

RP is there any way you can gey the attendence numbers from Friday night? Possibily the numbers from the upcoming games Monday. Im gonna go out on a limb and say its going to be a madhouse Monday night and whatever the capacity is it will be reached.. Maybe staning room only!!! Im planning on getting there way in advance of the first game... :thumb:

I've seen larger crowds there. I've seen people turned away at the door before.
