Thanks for gathering all of these details....I smell a contest for 2015. Which of these schools will break their drought first? I was surprised to see Paintsville and Cov. Holy Cross on the list.

Has Lincoln County ever won the 12th Region Tournament? Does anyone know?

Yes, they won it in 1975 (first year as a consolidated school), 1980, 2007 and 2008.

So tough to break into that top group in the Seventh. Christian Academy has been painfully close the last couple years.

Getting into a Regional game in the 7th is tough.

Seeding the district tournaments makes it tougher for smaller or traditionally not very good schools to break through. When there was a blind draw a school may get a favorable draw and be able to get to the regional tournament, its much more of a challenge now.

You're not kidding. Its really cool to see Waggener break out of their 15-year drought this year.
