One of these days we'll be wrong down here, but by now we have seen one too many winter storms fizzle. I hate to hear ice - that's never fun. Snow I don't mind as much. But it has been years since we've gotten hardly more than a dusting.

March 2, 201412 yr Author Morning update: This looks like it is going to be a major winter storm to hit Kentucky. I expect wide spread power outages especially in SKY. Ice and snow fall totals by Monday afternoon. Ice Accumulation WKY.-.25-.50" South of the Louie B Nunn PKWY-Somerset Bowling Green .50-.75" CKY .25-.50" SE-EKY .25-.50" N-NEKY-Louisville .10-.25" Snow Accumulations North of the of the Louie B. Nunn PKWY most of Kentucky 4-6" South of Louie B. Nunn PKWY 2-4" Around Madisonville 6-8" Starting around Lebanon there is an area setting up to see 6-8" of snow. The northern boundary of this are goes through Frankfort north of Georgetown, Cynthiana, and Maysville. The Southern boundary goes through Berea and Pikeville. This includes Lexington, Winchester, Richmond, Morehead, Berea, Ashland, Pikeville. I'll be posting an update after church this afternoon. People you need to be preparing for this storm now. March 2, 201412 yr Just read a Facebook update by one of my friends in French Lick. Roads are icy and slick, and people have been asked not to drive unless it's an emergency.
March 2, 201412 yr If you haven't already done so, and your vehicle isn't garaged. Don't forget to pull your wipers of the windshield. As much ice as they're calling for I'm going to open and shut my car doors every couple hours so they don't freeze shut. Note to self: next home needs to have a wood burning furnace
