HUGE congratulations to Waggener on qualifying for the Seventh Region Tournament for the first time since 1999!

 

Great achievement for coach Bryan O'Neil and the Wildcats. Expect more great things next year from this really talented young team.

 

They'll play Trinity on Friday for the 27th District title.

Waggener was lucky to get out of this one with the win. They have better talent then Seneca but last night Seneca was the better coached team.

I was a little surprised by that scoreline. Waggener beat the Redhawks by 21 back at the end of January. I initially wrote it off to postseason hoops insanity.

Seneca controlled the tempo through the first half and most of the second. Waggener got impatient and threw the ball away several times. Seneca just ran out of gas late. They still had the game to 3 with less then 2 to play.
