I've never heard a bad thing about Shadowens before. Maybe he had a reason to be upset. Gee...Blackman had 12 personal fouls & lost by one? Wonder why they only had 4 in previous games?

Actually you teach your players they don't have to be a part of a game where their opponents have zero respect for the game or the rules or the team they are playing.

 

Congrats to BG for doing what is right. Maybe Blackman will finally learn that they can and will be held accountable for their actions and poor sportsmanship.

A little too rough? You don't get a personal foul for being just a little too rough. They are personal fouls because they are intended to protect the players in a violent game. A typical football game is more than rough. The choice does teach players they have a choice in what environments they choose to place themselves.

I've thought about this game alot. One of the most intriguing I've ever seen. To get to the point, Blackman did not have a history with excessive personal fouls and was given an award to the contrary as good sports. I went and saw Blackman play Oakland last season. VERY tough, hard-nosed game, but no personal fouls or repetitive cheap plays.

 

I saw and kept this site appraised of this game. The team I saw play Oakland was not the team I saw play BG. I will not vouch for all the refs personal foul calls, but at least 7 of the 12 I will. If you are in a game where it is being called tight, you adjust. Any good team knows that. Blackman simply did not adjust.

 

As for me, I wish they would play, but I understand at least a reason or two why they will not. I know Blackman's coach is a good one, but both coaches haven't been "classy" in this reguard. Sometimes its best to just part ways and never see each other again. EVER

Sorry, I just can't think of a reason to ever buy out a game. You signed the contract. Live with the commitment. Plus, waiting this late makes BG look even worse. Calling this a safety issue is no different than what Bielema and Saban are pushing with their new rule proposal...a load of bull. Everyone knows BG lost a lot. Take you whipping and move on. It's also ironic that BG complained about having teams back out of contracts on them and then did the same thing when it was convenient for them.

I wish I could find a reason to be disappointed in BG but it was Blackman so I find it so funny.
