Mccallie isn't going to back out because they aren't worried about the safety of their players and fans. I was at the game last year. Blackman is the dirtiest team I have ever had the pleasure of viewing. Threats were made in the stands by fans from Blackman. Coaches threatened fans and players. It was like 1987 Miami hurricanes. You can insinuate and Shadowens can passively call Wallace a liar but I was there. Bowling Greens boosters can certainly afford the $5,000 and the Blaze and the rest of Tn can pound sand.

According to the BG Daily News, Blackman had 12 personal fouls during BG game and 4 total for the 9 prior games they played. Blackman stated they will lose up to 20k in gate and concessions if they can't find a replacement game. I had heard rumors around town since late December that BG was looking for a way out of playing at Blackmon. Thought it was a joke but guess not. Good article in today's BG daily news about the cancellation but don't know how to post the link.

I had forgotten that there were incidents in the game last year. Remembering that I understand and support BG buying out of the game. Maybe if thuggish behavior was addressed more it would stop.
