Coach Dawn now has 3 titles. 2 with the boys and 1 with the girls. This is also Coach Collopys third consecutive All A title. What a coaching staff! Congratulations to all the Breds.

This is the 2nd time that different coaches took the same team to back-to-back All A championships. University Heights won the first two. In 1990 Roy Woolum was coach; in 1991, Pat Fields was listed as coach.

 

As a sidelight, that 1991 team had to forfeit 12 of its 23 wins because Tommy Wade, a para-professional, had been doing the actual coaching...something that was illegal at the time.

 

Hasn't been a back-to-back winner in the KHSAA event with different head coaches.

Way to bring home the gold Breds. With that many free throws for Ncc did they call the game because there were no players on Cordia because they all fouled out. WOW that is a lot of attempts.

That's the thing about the NewCath family, they are willing to give back. I would say over 85% of all the coaches in every sport "on the hill" is a former grad/player.
