Newcath sports continues to amaze me. Small school with really small feeder schools. They just continue to win and play for championships. Just this year the football team played in the state 2A championship, boys win the ALL A State Title, girls basketball gets to the final four of the A state, both teams are one of the favorites to win the 9th regions titles. Baseball team won the A state title last year and 2 final 8 state finishes 2 of the last 3 years, both had very successful soccer teams this past year, track, cross country, golf-it doesnt matter what sport season it is. They do get some talent for sure but to do this year in and year out is just amazing to me. One thing you have to love is that every Coach in the school encourages the kids to play all the sports they can. None of them like to see kids just concentrate on one sport. Congrats to the Breds. Way to start another new year off in grand fashion and set the tone for the remainder of the year.

I just wonder, very benignly, if there's a "thing" between the two. I am curious, not stirring.

 

Obviously, there's a rivalry which is good. When these two meet it's an atmosphere that's hard to top. Good people in the NCC community.

 

I will admit that I don't get as excited for NCC as NCC fans do about the A. It's a testament to them as to how good they are. They're actually above the A now IMO. So winning the A is nice but IMO it's a stretch of games where they're barely tested. We saw that again this year. Did it help them prepare for the region tourney?

 

Maybe some other CCH fans feel similarly. Of course I didn't grow up IN the rivalry. I came to it through paying tuition so I may have a different perspective.

I failed to mention, when leaving the arena yesterday I past Christian Cunningham and Coach Rhodes in the Media Room. We spoke for about 2 minutes, Cunningham was well spoken and everything was "yes sir" & "thank you". Coach Rhodes was gracious in defeat and was very complimentary of NewCath. :thumb:
