February 3, 201412 yr Well my friend just informed me (don't know if its true or not) that UofL, EKU, Kentucky State, JCTC, BCTC, and Bellarmine are all out of school today. Some initially called for delays but later switched to full closures. Its a wonder that UK still is on a 2-hour delay. However, knowing how UK works it will literally take a state emergency for them to close school. Makes me a little bitter that I have to go to school today and take my exam but it is what it is. I'm heading over to the pharmacy building now (walking) so I'll be able to tell how the main road is that approaches UK's campus from South Broadway. Should be interesting to see....
February 3, 201412 yr I would estimate about 7 inches at my place in Western Franklin County when I got up this morning. I had no trouble getting to work in Lex though...thanks 4WD.
February 3, 201412 yr We got mostly rain in Owsley County, my guess would be close to an inch of rain. There's only a dusting of snow. Temperature is 31. We were lucky, if the temp had been a couple of degrees colder we would be looking at a foot of snow this morning.

Pretty sure I live in the same complex as you do. I stayed in BG overnight, heading back to Lex in couple hours. Anyone know what condition I-65 is in?

I understand that conditions can be treacherous, but you have to be driving like a "rear end" to spin out as bad as some of these people do.
February 3, 201412 yr Well, the only time I was in a situation close to that was once when in school, broke with bald tires, I literally skated down the road. But none of these cars looked like the piece of junk I drove in school.
February 3, 201412 yr UK did end up cancelling all classes today. It just had to happen after I was already out of bed and at school studying! . At the time it was a smart decision based on how I saw the roads. However, the roads are now starting to clear up a bit as it is beginning to warm up here in Lexington.
