It illustrates what happens when unelectable people win primaries. Those are all 3 seats that should have changed hands if not for those candidates. I am very afraid that Bevin will be the next in the series. You may think I'm dead wrong I really don't care, but I would much rather see McConnell retain the seat then see Grimes take it over and if Bevin wins the primary that's what I see happening.

Bush/Cheney did more harm to the conservative cause than Obama wishes he could. The Tea Party was non-existent and there was no outrage over the size and power of the federal government rapidly expanding.

 

Only until the Dems (Obama) took power did the Tea Party and hard-right outside groups decide to take action. And now, we are slowly making progress for the first time in YEARS. We are finely starting to win.

 

If Romney or McCain had won, there would not be a Tea Party or nearly as many enthusiastic conservative activists.

 

Romney/McCain/Bush/Rove are not conservatives. They ALL advocate for virtually the same policies as Obama and conservative activists/groups did not mobilize against them like Obama.

 

Non-conservative Republicans do more harm to our cause than liberals. I'm hoping you can see the connection. The same applies to McConnell. Republicans like him create apathy, and the greatest force in politics is inertia. When conservatives are not active, we lose. And conservatives do not mobilize against liberal Republicans but they have/will fight against liberal Dems.

It's not about just punishing republicans, it's about the number of mobilized activists on each side of a given issue. Our most energetic activists are the conservative base, and they do NOT take action against big government Republicans. They will, however, mobilize against liberal Dems and that's why we're slowly starting to win since 2010.

As long as Mitch and his grow-government disciples remain in control, that just stymies the "true conservatives." Step 1 is to send the good ol' boy Repubs to the retirement home. Step 2 is to grow the party and start beating the libs in important elections in blue and purple states.

Add to that both MM and Grimes are on complete opposite sides of the Right to Work Issue.

 

ALG was strongly endorsed by several Pro Choice groups, Mitch has been consistently endorsed by Right to Life of Louisville and KY and has been invited to speak at their annual events.

 

MM is firm on his support for coal, ALG is avoiding those questions like the plague which pretty much answers what her position really is.

Tea Party isn't social conservatives. Those that claim that are misleading the tea party movement. It's all economics.

 

I can buy that, but they are getting cast with the moral right, and these values are not winning national elections.

First bold: polling indicates you are wrong. The left's women's rights argument has a loud bark, but no bite. Evangelicals turn out in droves for candidates who are REAL pro-life and pro-family.

Romney, had he separated themselves from the far right "old moral majority" and set himself and the party to be more appealing to women and Hispanics, would have won, no questions asked.

 

Polling is an extremely useless tool.

 

I can respect liberals although I don't understand their mindset, but they are true to their values. I can respect conservatives, because while I don't always agree, they are true to their values. I have never respected or understood passive aggressive, manipulative or the destructive mentality of picking up all your pieces and going home when the game isn't going your way unless there is some clearly stating and logical reasoning as to how this will help reach a goal.
