Not official yet! I got messages from Grasham and Owens saying 'no hire', but soon. Garrard has a couple squeaky wheels jumping the gun... It might be Perry, but nothing official as of today!

Won't be official until next Friday. Those two can say what they want but all they are doing is trying to keep it quite until the announcement. I understand them wanting it quite until the big announcement. Nothing squeaking here but go ahead and believe what you want.

 

 

With that being said, the only way Perry is not coach is if he turns it down.....don't think that will happen.

Is it that big of a deal? I've talked to numerous players on the team now that know who it's going to be. What do you expect them to do at the announcement? Put the new coach behind a curtain and reveal him to the world as a surprise? Everyone in town knows who it will be. Not that big of a deal. We are all excited. Squeaky wheel or not, parent...players...teachers all know who it's going to be. You'd have to live under a rock in Lancaster to not know who it is by now. GO LIONS!

All I'm saying is that I think that it is a little premature, and we should let the process take its course. Until all the I's are dotted and

T's crossed, it is not a done deal.... Too many hurdles yet to go over.... The hiring committee has to decide on a recommendation

that is presented to the board. The board can approve or deny the recommendation. Then finally, the coach has to accept the terms.

Perry would be a great hire for GC! He is a great coach in so many ways. So if you don't think that Boyle is making an effort to keep

him, then you, my friend, are under the rock......

Whoever the Coach is and being on the football boosters, I can guarantee that I will be doing more

You my friend don't know what you are talking about.....the board does not hire coaches or teachers. The site base hires teachers and the principle and ad can hire a coach but it the coach might be teaching then the site base has to approve the coach as a teacher not as a coach. So if you mean board as in site base I agree with you but in no way does the board hire a coach or teacher. The process is over as long as Coach Perry accepts the coaching position. Now as far as i's and t's crossed may do with assistant coaches and that should work itself out.

 

 

Perry coached one year at Boyle but for me to say they aren't asking him the stay would be stupid but I guarantee that's not a deal breaker for either school. Can Boyle hire another quality coach as Perry...maybe not but they have many quality coaches on the staff so they won't beg him to stay.

 

The only underlying thing is his child.....does he want to move and play for his dad or not....if he didn't transfer then Coach Perry wouldn't be able to watch his kid play his senior year but he's a smart man and he has already worked it out. IMO.

 

 

Just crawl out and show up next Friday at the theatre in Lancaster. Lol
