Numbers are not were they should be, but it is a talented group. 2013 Team was dominated by Juniors and Sophomores. Skill positions will be solid. Lost Williams and Penman at RB's, but several returning to fill their shoes and Jalen is back from injury. The O-line will be strong; lost Simpson and Rector, but Perry's son will be a replacement and their is an opportunity for someone to step up. The O-line will definitely be a strong point. Defense will be solid. Like everyone else, the key will be keeping them healthy......

Whoever the Coach is and being on the football boosters, I can guarantee that I will be doing more supporting than the majority on here!!!!

All I'm saying is that I think that it is a little premature, and we should let the process take its course. Until all the I's are dotted and T's crossed, it is not a done deal.... Too many hurdles yet to go over.... The hiring committee has to decide on a recommendation that is presented to the board. The board can approve or deny the recommendation. Then finally, the coach has to accept the terms. Perry would be a great hire for GC! He is a great coach in so many ways. So if you don't think that Boyle is making an effort to keep him, then you, my friend, are under the rock......

Not official yet! I got messages from Grasham and Owens saying 'no hire', but soon. Garrard has a couple squeaky wheels jumping the gun... It might be Perry, but nothing official as of today!

Well now we can seriously speculate about Jerred along with others.......

Just another reason that he is so well respected in the area. As for a kid transferring, I'm just saying that it would not surprise me to see 2 or 3..... That being said,,,, there is several rental properties on the Garrard side of Herrington Lake... And the Lake is so much more appealing from Garrard.........

I don't think that all of them returned, but several did. That being said, I can see a few players following Perry.... He is very well liked and respected around the area, and I can see a loyal few following him....

Agree that it would be a far stretch for the kids at Boyle, but you never know. The Danville kids could be a different story since there was a few that quit the program. Some of those guys might cater a transfer to Garrard. Guess will know come July........

My guess would be that as a possible candidate is determined, they will contact for interview and if it takes up to 30 days then that's what it will be...

IF Perry is offered and takes the job, IMO, some players both Danville and Boyle will definitely think about a move...... What is surprising is the number of students and athletes that were and are enrolled at Danville and Boyle from Garrard. I would sure like to keep this from continuing in the future or at least minimize it.....

Disagree,,,,, Several Quality Coaches in the mix,,, While Perry would be a great hire, he is not the only great hire that can come out of this... 21 applicants and several with formidable reputations and backgrounds on the table. IMO, the Supt and the rest of the hiring committee should give each applicant a look. Narrow the interview process down to the top 3 or 4 and make the decision...

Coach Owens is running the weight room so everything is progressing fine in that area.....

Perry will be at the top of the list.. His couple of years until retirement might come into question...

Only news is that Kirk is leaving with Scenters..... With 18 applicants, it will take a little time to touch base with several of them, if not all....
