From the guys I've talked to Elam has played this very close to the chest. They truly don't know what he's gonna do. They have said they believe it's uk but wouldn't bet the farm.

He'll be deciding between staying close to home, and competing for National Championships. Sometimes being close to home is what kids want, regardless of how rare that may be these days.

Besides staying close to home I think you factor in that he can be a starter right away and make a huge impact. At Alabama, it may take a few years.

I haven't followed it very close but something tells me he picks UK.

I hope he picks UK, but I wouldn't blame him if he chose Alabama. Saban gets guys to the next level like no other.

Hope it works for UK, still there are two words with one meaning standing in the way. "ROLL TIDE"

Hope he picks UK, but couldn't blame him and he really should pick Alabama.

The one spot he should be going is Notre Dame. I can't believe he threw them off the list with 2 1st round draft picks exiting the DL this year for them in Louis Nix and Tuitt. Plus, I've been an ND guy since birth, so I'm being biased.

Big pick up for UK regardless if he's a 3 or 5 star. Sealing the border is more important.

Matt Jones and KSR were invited to the announcement and they have them seated right next to Elam's table, it would be a little awkward if he chose Bama. I am just glad he is making a decision, it has been drawn out.

I like Notre Dame, but I am biased to the SEC. I dont think a kid can go wrong with any SEC school , especially if they have aspirations of pro football.

I'd say it's 80/20 UK.

Hope he picks UK but my head says he should go to Bama. I applaud the kids who choose to stay in state and UK and UL and WKU need to get all of the in state talent that they can but sometimes those rare exceptions shouldbe excused to go play for those porgrams with strong traditions and better coaching. It is what it is.

If it doesn't work out at Bama then transfer. That's what everybody else does anyways. It's not like UK wouldn't want him anymore.

That's what I'd be thinking if I were him. Go to Bama, and if it doesn't work, transfer to UK. They would take him.
