Can you see over all those sandbags?

No sandbags here brother. Graduated our QB, RB, TE, 3/5 of our OL and have 2/3 starters returning on defense. This is going to be a down year for my Cards, I forsee. Especially early on. Playing at home will help but the Rocks are going to be bringing some dudes with revenge on the brain.

Will be fun and I hope RockNation makes the trip. I know you all are more than familiar with trips to Cincy but I believe this will be the first time you do it against someone outside the GCL.

Trinity is still having trouble finding a DC. Beatty re-advertised the position. I figured people would be falling all over themselves for that job.

It appears Trinity prefers someone from out of state. Florida interviewee did not pan out. Georgia is on the clock. I agree Riley would make sense. He is a Lampley disciple. Maybe he's a lost alumnus and the Rocks can't locate him. The Rocks are still awaiting the return of two signed contracts so they can announce the full schedule.

Last I heard Pat Riley was the DC at CAL. He really enjoys the atmosphere there at CAL.

I think CAL is an up and coming athletic force in all sports....same with Country Day to a lesser extent.

Has Trinity hired a defensive coordinator yet?

Not to my knowledge. The hiring powers were busy in Rupp Arena last week. Now spring break is staring them in the face next week. It is a tossup which will be announced first by Trinity-the 2014 schedule or the defensive coordinator. :idunno:

Per some insider knowledge, Trinity has hired a defensive coordinator from Texas.

I understand this development was circulating in the teachers cafeteria yesterday. Apparently the gentleman has some family near by. Now, if the Trinity Administration can acquire the signed contract from Cocoa High, the schedule can be released "officially". :dancingpa

The new DC is "Coach Cobb" from Texas, don't know anything about him or even his full name but supposedly he has family in Louisville. Also, Trinity will have Spring Practice this year starting the week after spring break which is a change, this will be the first time Trinity has ever had Spring Football. However, it will be 10 practices with no pads from what I hear. Go Rocks!!

Thanks for the info. Go Rocks

Actually it will be the 3rd (or 4th) time under Coach Beatty that Trinity has held Spring Practice and it will start the second Monday after Spring Break. Trinity last held spring practice 2 years ago.

I never knew that, thx! Did they go pads during any of these Spring Practices?

Just the first, after Coach Beatty's first year.

Did you hear the man keep mentioning that word "junior" and "soph." The 2013 JVs were 8-0 against Indy Carmel, Indy Lawrence Central, Cincy Colerain, Indy Cathedral, Louisville St. X, Male, Central, & Cincy Moeller. The Frosh lost to Moeller & beat Carmel, Lawrence Central, Colerain, PRP, Cathedral, St. X, Male, & Central. Both squads are loaded.

Plus Frosh QB Larry Harper III played for the East squad in the Jan. 4, 2014 elite Eastbay Youth All-American Bowl San Antonio (a prelim to the Army All-America Bowl). He played QB and RB for much of the game, the East winning by a point in OT.
