January 9, 201412 yr Author Off the top of my head I want to keep almost all of them. Exceptions may be: Michael Johnson - too expensive Zoltan Mesko - assuming Huber will be back Ogemdi Nwagbo - our depth should be back at DT However, outside of Anthony Collins and Andrew Hawkins I think all the others are Vet Minimum Guys if they are going to stay.

January 9, 201412 yr I guess part of it depends on what Jackson wants to run, offensively. I'd assume that the Bengals will have at least a full-time fullback on the roster next year...meaning that the WR spots could shrink as a result. Obviously you'd have Green, Sanu and Jones as your top 3. I wouldn't mind keeping both Hawkins and Sanzenbacher, although both of them had a hard time getting playing time this year, due to the success of the others. Tate, I would assume, if he's back, it's more for the returning aspect. Can one of these two replace him? Don't know. Johnson and Collins are both obvious ones, although I think Johnson's asking price may force him out of the picture. Mays, Rey and Ghee are others that I'd have back too. Hopefully they look at the safety spot in the draft too, which means Crocker may not get an invite back. As to the offensive line, I'd think Pollack would be more valuable to keep than Roland...but, again, I'd think they'll be looking at the draft for help here too.

Would really like to see Rey back. Bring back Ghee The rest, negotiate and do what's best for the team.

In regards to the fullback spot, remember on Hard Knocks Hue Jackson was the driving force behind having Orson Charles at fullback. Unless he has realized he was wrong on Charles, I don't see the Bengals going to get a full time fullback because Charles was the guy he wanted at fullback over the Terminator last year.

Especially if they don't sign back Tate. Hawkins started making some good plays at the end of the year again once he was fully healthy. Now to mention he could be a dangerous returner if they put him back there if Tate is not back. I would like to see them keep both Hawkins and Sanzenbacher. Other than that I completely agree with every single other thing you have on who to resign and say bye to.
January 9, 201412 yr Eh, I was torn on Hawkins. I think he's a valuable asset, I just wonder if he's even interested in coming back. He was entirely misused this season, and I guess Hue could possibly use him more, but I just don't see where he really fits in with AJ, Marvin, and Sanu ahead of him on the depth chart, and Gio kind of filling his niche as a short quick screen option.

Thats true however once Hawkins showed he was completely healthy, you started to see him basically take a lot of snaps away from Sanu. Sanu was technically a starter but didn't seem to play many snaps especially once Hawkins showed he was healthy. It definitely will be interesting to see what the market value for Hawkins is in the league, and if he wants to come back or not.

January 9, 201412 yr Author Another thing on Hawkins is he is a phenomenal gunner on Punt. And uk, I am torn on Vincent Rey, I really like him in space but not against the run and that is a major issue.

January 10, 201412 yr They should try and keep Rey and Hawk. MJ will be too expensive, although I'd like them to keep. They will keep many because they don't have a lot of value. They will let them test the waters, though.
