The tabletop pac man game;

Also Lethal Enforcers with the 2 guns.

Off Road although you could never steer the truck very well.

NKU had a pinball machine called Firepower (I think). I spent many an hours on that quarter eater.

Played some galaga and a little centipede. That was about it for me.

Pac man

I made up my own pattern and always got to or past the 12th key.

A pinball machine called Little Chief.

5 ball for a dime and 66,000 to get the first free game. Then the amount would raise to get a free game after that.

There were days I could play all day on a quarter.

Pretty common but...

Pac-Man

Ms Pac-Man

Asteroids

Galaga

Tron

Can't remember the name, but you controlled a helicopter through many stages of tight spots throughout the city, dropping bombs and shooting stuff while trying to avoid being shot at and, crashing into buildings. Name anyone?????

Dropped too many quarters to count playing those games, but had a lot of fun. Remember sometimes getting so good, and playing the games like it was my job that at times I got bored, and lost concentration to the point of losing just to get it over with.

After starting to worry about how much I was spending, I tried drilling a hole through a quarter and tying a fishing line through it to see if I could drop it in the slot to activate machine to give me a play, and try to pull quarter back out. From what I remember, it got stuck, and I had to embarrassingly own up to corner store owner to what I had done. He wasn't too happy, but luckily he overlooked it, didn't bust me, continued to let me play, and I continued to blow my money there just as I had all along.

Before the arcade games, my neighbors had the original "Pong" which when it was the only thing out there, thought that it was just brilliant.

When home games started, I never liked the handheld joystick because I liked the sturdy feeling of the arcade joystick better. Aside from playing Tetris on a computer, and a game where you're a duck riding around shooting stuff, I did not continue to follow through on home games or online playing. I've no doubt that I would dig it, but feared ever going back to the addiction of it and having it consume me.

Remember when there was a Tilt in every mall? Quarters lined up on the popular machines...good stuff. Shockingly, no one needed hand sanitizer and no one got the plague; weird.

Loved me some Tilt. Mine as simple as it was is Space Invaders. Galaga over Galaxian anyday. Bezerk was a good one along with Missle Command, the sitdown version.

The old Bellewood Lanes had a pinball machine, Mada-Hari (sp), could play it for hours with 4 quarters.

The bowling alley had a pinball machine named for a Dutch Prostitute? And it was cheap? How did I miss that?!?!?!

Street Fighter and TMNT. The little convenient store in my neighborhood had Street Fighter when it first came out and I think they probably got rich off of all of us kids that lined up to drop quarters in that machine.

Was always an asteroids fan and lunar lander

........

Dragon's Lair

Galaga

Track & Field (favorite game ever)

Same here.

I grew up near the CVG Airport and it was the only place near us that had an arcade. We would walk there from our house to play. We would actually cross the runway to get there and after we played we would take tours inside the airplanes. Times have changed...

The snack bar on the base had pin ball machines. It was right next to the base church. We would run over there after Mass to play.

Next to that was the little "Stars and Stripes" book store. Comic books for a quarter!

My sister and I were the "loose change thieves". But I think my dad was well aware. :lol2:
