January 2, 201412 yr Congrats to Teddy. However I am going to stick with what I said a month or so ago, and that I think other QB's possibly will pass him in the draft evaluation process. I definitely think Bortles will pass him up in the process.

January 3, 201412 yr Do you think they go with Teddy? Who knows? From what I gather Teddy like the other QBs aren't necessarily rated at the top of draft boards when you are ranking guys on a grade. Ultimately every draft comes down to need. The Texans need a QB, but how confident do they feel Teddy or Manziel are franchise changers? That can all change over the next 4-5 months. It would not shock me to see them draft Jake Matthews as it appears to be a safe pick and he fills a void at tackle. He too plays just down the road at A&M.
January 3, 201412 yr Let's say most NFL GM's see Teddy and Johnny being equally talented, or even Johnny slightly ahead of Teddy, I would think that most would draft Teddy over Johnny based on character. I just see Johnny as a guy that is going to be in and out of trouble if he manages to have an NFL career.

I just see Johnny as a guy that is going to be in and out of trouble if he manages to have an NFL career. I am not as concerned with "character" issues as some are with Manziel. The only thing that has ever bothered me was his dismissal from the Manning camp last summer. He turned 21 less than a month ago. If anything I was more impressed with Manziel this year because he was a hunted man on the field, name was put out there on front street, and he was set up to have a down season coming off last season's success, imo. He was big time this year and moved up exponentially on the draft boards. He put in serious work to improve his game despite what many people see as a flawed individual.
January 22, 201412 yr Is this official? I heard he hasn't signed with an agent and may be having second thoughts. Is that true or just false rumors?

I was like...whatever...then I realized I hadn't seen or heard of Teddy making his decision to enter the draft and was trying to figure out what he is waiting for. Did he declare?

Agent's Take: Inside the decision to turn pro early - CBSSports.com Only players who have been out of high school for at least three years are eligible for the NFL Draft. The deadline for underclassmen declaring for the draft is Jan. 15. There is a 72-hour window immediately after this deadline where underclassmen can return to school without jeopardizing their eligibility.

January 23, 201412 yr Apparently Houston upper management really loves Clowney. Not their highest draft need, but they feel he can be a franchise changer on defense.
