Should Cal bench Andrew Harrison?

Featured Replies

Serious question. What's he shown more than Hawkins? Hawkins is faster IMO and plays much better defense and he hustles even if he makes a mistake.

The offense flowed much better with Polson and Hawkins on the floor than it did with Andrew.

What do you all think?

A border line tight end running the offense hasn't worked this far.

thus far.

I hope he can blossom like Teague. Much better de

pth situation this season, that pine time can push. Any player.

If he's not performing then pull him. Just like he did tonight. He's still a young player. Some guys learn great doing, some are visual learners. Him watching can certainly be benificial to all parties involved at times.

If UK has any shot of making a deep run it's not going to be with Polson running the show.

I don't disagree with that but I so think right now Hawkins actually helps this team out quite a bit. Andrew has to step up but Cal has been saying that every game. At what point does it simply not happen and Cal needs to switch to Hawkins.

Cal has praised Hawkins almost every game and has talked about how Andrew doesn't play well almost every game.

Go back and let Aaron run the point with Young at the 2, and Poythress at the 3 with Randle the 4 and Willie at the 5. Then use the bench as needed. JMO

Hawkins plays a lot, but offensively he seems pretty far behind. Ideally the two PGs should be the Harrisons. Aaron and Hawkins at the off guard spot.

If UK is going to be great thus season, this is the lineup that will get then there, IMO. Andrew Harrison, Hawkins and Dakari come off the bench to contribute. This is where we need to get to to make some real noise come tourney time, IMO.

Hawkins is not ready to run the point and has not played PG any that I recall. You have to stick with Harrison, but give him some time on the bench to let him watch and to maybe motivate him.

Agree 100%. Hawkins give us energy off the bench is what you want.

As much as I would love to say that Polson (or Hawkins) at the point would be U.K.'s best option that's just not the case. Polson has as much heart, probably more than anyone on that team but as others have said I don't believe that the Cats get to where they along with all of us here want them to with Polson. Polson or Hawkins can imo give a quick boost with their all out hustle and Polson possibly needs to be in (if possible) when an opponent has to foul/ put us on the line.

I love Hawkins and Polson's work ethic and hustle, desire. Should every player on this team have his heart then the Cats would probably be unbeaten now.
