I agree. Best case scenario for the producers is somehow they both make the Final Three. If either is there without the other, I believe that one wins.

I don't know about the producers, but don't you think it would be quite a raucous when somebody tries to sneak off into the woods looking for an idol followed by a guy with a camera? Seems a little silly to me that if it were 100% real, the survivors would react based on the actions of the CBS crew.

I think the producers definitely interject in a few ways, but nothing major. A few examples I have in mind:

 

1) They absolutely go through the votes and put them in a certain order for Probst to pull out. No way those are random every time.

 

2) I believe that they have multiple challenges setup and ready to go and as the game progresses, they choose which one they are going to have for them. It allows them to pick certain challenges at certain times to potentially help certain players win immunity at certain times. I don't think its predetermined what order they are going to have the challenges for them.

 

3) I bet the camera men and producers have many meetings, especially a few right before Tribal Council to give Probst some dirt so that he can steer Tribal Council certain ways to make it interesting (who has beef with who, who alliances appear to be, and etc.)

4) I bet people are sneaking off all the time. Sneaking off by themselves, small groups, large groups. People are probably constantly walking into the woods. I'm sure they have plenty of footage that we never see of everyone looking for the idol. But if people don't find it, or if they don't have some hilarious/interesting dialogue, or a good testimonial, there is no point in showing it to the audience. So since its constantly happening, its not a big deal if someone walks off with the cameras.

 

You gotta remember, in an episode we see about 42 minutes of Survivor (after commercials). Take out maybe 6 minutes for Tribal Council, another 5 on the immunity challenge, another 5 on the reward challenge, 3 for a beginning recap and the previews/players' final words, and 1 minute of random nature shots haha! Leaves us with roughly 22 minutes of "camp life" or whatever. And that doesn't even take into account watching them enjoy their reward from the reward challenge, but I won't subtract for that since they usually show the camp during that time too. So, that's 22 minutes of 72 hours, which each episode covers about 3 days I think.

 

There's a whole lot of fottage that we don't see.

Actually a few years ago KY's own Roger Bingham (after his first large meal in a while) discussed it's effects on his system in fairly graphic detail including that he had to get in the water to rid himself of the after effects after trying to do it with a leaf. He complained the leaf he grabbed had a hole in it.

 

My one though was how gross is it that they don't even let them have TP.

I thought Spencer should have grab it when he laid it down and taken a look at it saying - if its really fake you should have no issue if we see how to make a fake idol. Since Tony put it back in his 'bag of tricks' it should make them all wonder if it was real or not and figure it out. It has more power if they have no idea that he has it. Now, he has created a question on if he has it.

 

So I think definitely think he got too cute with his 'bag of tricks'.

 

I am curious to see if anyone calls Tony out on that idol on the next show. If I am Spencer or Tasha, I definitely make it a hot topic. If Tony keeps saying it is fake, then make him show it to prove it's fake. If he won't show it, then you tell everyone they better vote for Tony to flush that idol or he will be unstoppable. Tony has made a lot of mistakes in the game and got away with them. I think showing that idol at Tribal might be the mistake that leads to his fall.

Unfortunately I hold little hope that anyone in Tony's "alliance" is smart enough to do it. If they don't Spencer can't flush the idol.

If I am Spencer and Tasha, I would straight up tell Tony's alliance we are voting for Tony. If want to have any chance of getting our vote at the end, then now is the time to show you are playing the game and make a move.

 

As to this special power idol, I would be ticked off to the max if they don't reveal somehow what the idol's powers are. It really feels like a cheat. No one wants to play any game where the rules change and you don't know about it. Especially a game for a million dollars.

It's the only option Spencer and Tasha have. They have to convince the lemmings that they have no shot of beating Tony (they don't) in a final vote. For added emphasis they need to make sure that when Tony starts pushing to get rid of them the only reason he's doing it is because he knows they'll vote for him on the jury and that they'll talk to the other people on the jury about how the lemmings have been led by the nose.

 

The problem is that Trisha would believe it if Tony told her he pooped gold, Kass wants everyone to think she's the smartest kid in the room so she won't do anything unless she thinks she thought of it (in her Twitter feeds she's talking smack about being the one to flush all of the idols, in her back and forth with Spencer last week I really don't think they like each other), and stupid little Jefra will do whater Trish an Kass tell her to do. That leaves Woo who may be smart enough to see it but I doubt it.

From reading some of her Tweets she comes of as having a huge ego and a little arrogant. I don't think I'd like her either.
