Were you at the game? Figured you'd be at Cintas??

Yea I was sitting behind Mustang.

I have a new intern so I let them cover the game since I figured it'd be a blow out. Now I'm regretting not going. Missed a great game.

Bolden had 13 during the stretch.

Did he really play all 32 minutes? Weren't they up 20 going into the 4th and maintained that margin throughout?

I was going to make the same comment.

Came out for about 15 seconds in the 1st qtr when he suffered a very brief injury.

Pretty precious commodity. I probably would have pulled him up 20+ with all that depth on the Holmes bench.

Fully realizing their are downsides to the strategy, I think you have to sell out in deny mode with James. You just can't let him do what he wants with the ball. You have to make it a 4-on-4 game. You then have to get a rear end into the thighs of Chames or the rebound is his. Best offensive rebounder in the 9th. Do those two (easier said than done) and you'll be in a solid position.

Bolden is incredible, Brossart threw everything at him and he was still able to score at will. Holmes does a gret job on the offensive boards keeping the ball alive, until they get a chance to tip it in.

Very nice team with skilled players at every position. They are the real deal.

..except for full denial of the ball.

Very impresed with Holmes tonight. Bolden is indeed incredible. Too much quickness for the Mustangs. A 17-0 run to start the second half when already down 8 buried us.

The Bulldogs made us adjust everything, making easy shots difficult ones. You simply cannot duplicate that kind of quickness at practice, which equated to a bezillion deflections and steals. I was surprised to see that we only turned the ball over 10/11 times.

Holmes shot lights out from beyond the arc, nailing 8, and only late in the game did they start missing a few.

Mustangs will be better for the experience.

He is so quick, not sure that is possible.

Walter, you may need to check your stats?

You say Holmes out rebounded Brossart 29-21, yet the math adds up to 22 boards for Brossart in your recap. I also think Shannon had a couple and I know Jennings grabbed at least one?

They weren't my stats. The stats I have were from a print out that I received after the game. Mr Hart does a great job but he could have missed a rebound or two for BB.

My goodness.

Brossart had some lovely ladies there recording stats. Maybe we can get an update. I don't think they keep the other team's stats but I would have guessed the rebounding would have been a larger margin for the Bulldogs.

I'd go with Mr Hart's stats that I posted...Mr Huhn and him keep a mean scorebook. :lol2:
