Does it really matter who has the better stat man???:idunno:

The team's Water Boy is most important but Stat Man is a close second. :lol2:

As always it was good hanging with B-Ball-fan and chatting with Oldbird.

Likewise :thumb:

Welcome to the site and "congrats" on having an average of 13.5 posts per day. I'm a big fan of stats, always have been. If stats are posted I kinda like them to be accurate? Love Walter's work. And the men behind the desk are legends. But when the math doesn't add up and I swear I saw more than 3 kids on Brossart grab rebounds I just asked the question.

I applaud your enthusiasm for stats...I am saying our best stat person is better than yours don't make a difference. So BB has a better stat person than the man who is a genius and kept it for more than 35+years and you have a ICN man. Don't matter, you got the correct stats in the end and the Bulldogs prevailed!!!

Congrats to you and the Bulldogs! I look forward to many interesting posts from you. "Don't" be shy about giving Congrats to as many teams as you can.

Bolden with the triple double! Walter, did you get highlights by any chance?

Ask and you shall receive....have to apologize in advance to the Brossart fans as I had their highlights edited and deleted them when merging the highlights. I will get them up before the week end.

Nice job as always Walter... Very nice alley oop there in the end.

Bolden is a one of a kind player. Best I have seen in a while. Created shots on offense and havoc on defense. Chames is a great leaper, how many of his points came on offensive put backs? .

Holmes runs no offense through Chames so any points he gets (with one 3 pt shot exception) come from breaks and offensive rebounds. Not many teams have "offensive rebounds" as a play. You HAVE to completely sell out on blocking him out. If he's your guy your first look when the shot goes up is NOT the ball. It has to be "where is Chames?" You then go get him. If you wait for him to come to you - you lose. Burns did this a few times last night even blocking him out while Chames was at the FT line.

Challenge is blocking out (old timer alert here) is a lost art. It just rarely occurs and kids like Chames make a high school career off of it.

Bolden's treys looked effortless. Wow...he seems to have improved his game. Only a junior is just crazy.

Glover needs to cut out the yapping when he makes the occasional 3. He was lucky the officials didn't see him taunting the Brossart kid by holding 3 fingers up in his face after the 3 from the corner. No kid needs to do that and especially if you don't really score very often. Unnecessary.

Tried telling everyone this all summer. Playing in the EYBL really gave him a reality check and humbled him. As soon as that season ended he went to work in the gym and weight room. More explosive, stronger, and shot has improved. I think where he has improved the most, however, is defensively. That gets overlooked because of how good he is with the ball in his hands but he gets after it on that end.

Noticed that as well. He is a very animated kid that plays with a chip on his shoulder and plays with emotion. I agree with you 100% but he is always going to play with a "swagger." (I know you won't call it that)

You're right. That's not "swagger." We now give kids way too much leash on their behavior under the guise of "well that's swagger." Swagger is a way you carry yourself. It's not throwing up 3 fingers TWICE in a kid's face.
