Both defenses are not good, one more game for Teddy then sell all your UL stock. He did a good job picking UL up at the end secured the win.

Yup

In OT, that first play backfired, but Kay had 3 plays after that. Abernathy just dropped the one. The last pass was catchable. I don't really see the problem with the play calling unless you are talking about the two gadget plays.

Great game except the final score.

 

Hats of to Brendon Kay. That dude was beat up all season and gutted it out time and time again. Bad back, shoulder, sternum and ankle for most of the season and refused to come off the field. I thought for sure he was knocked out on the second TD run, but he bounced right back up and kept battling on one leg. UC has had quite the run at the QB position of late, and he more than earned his keep...

This one was a great game to watch. I hate to see this rivalry end. Kudos to C. Strong and the UL defense on "sniffing" out that screen-hook/lateral by UC late in the game. One could see that's what was set up and it look like it would have went for a good gain, possible td.

Both QB's did a great job, both made plays to lead their team. I do agree with GT on how the UC qb played hard, gutted it out. That's one tough football player.

I have always liked watching Tubbervilles teams play. The river boat gambler is a class act.

Also, Kay looked concussed for real on the sidelines following his hit. Hit rewind on the DVR for my wife to see him double-pump blinks at the people he was talking to.

That's who I'd take; certainly from the standpoint of selling tickets. But they were in the Russell Athletic last year. Any chance that would cause hesitation on the part of the committee?
