Does Pulaski County have a chance? We know about BG. What does anyone know about Pulaski County?

Maroons vs. Purples. That's awesome.

Looking at both team's schedules I expect this game to get ugly really fast.

I said early in the season that I thought Pulaski had a legit shot to be the 5A State Runner-Up this season. I hope they prove me wrong and win the whole thing.

Two years ago Anderson County was overwhelmed and Bowling Green destroyed them. Last year Cooper was competitive, but Bowling Green won comfortably. I think this Pulaski County team is better than '11-Anderson but not as good as '12-Cooper. I think Pulaski County can stick around for a quarter but I look for Bowling Green to be up three scores by halftime and for the clock to run midway through the third period.

I agree. Nerves got the best of Cooper last year at the beginning of the game which was evident by tuurning the ball over the first 2 times they touched the ball. Pulaski Co. has to go into the game treaating it like any other game, I know it's hard to do but that is the only way I think they can keep it close for a bit. BG is too good though and I look at a 3 TD win at least.

Good perspective GC, I actually think it can be close early. Lot's of nerves all around, but Purples have played on this field 6 times in last 3 yrs. This will be the first trip for the Maroons.

 

This Purple team is destined for this title. Ultimately too much Purple koolaid has been made to turn back now!

Have you seen the Maroons play? What do you think they can do well that the Purples will have trouble with? Or just you like them and want them to win?

I have seen them play a couple of games this year. They have a tough defense against the run. Their qb will make plays and they have a nice running game. Their youth may come into question but the young pups can play. It will be a war and yes I know it could turn into a blowout with the talent that BG possesses.

Yep. And John Hardin was also known as the second best team in 5A. John Hardin has been in that situation for the last 3 years. John Hardin knows BG very very well and plays teams of that caliber and close to that caliber in the regular season. John Hardin has beaten BG before and knows what it takes. Pulaski County hasn't faced a team like BG all year long and likely hasn't faced a team like this BG team in the history of their school. I'm not as politically correct as Purple88 nor am I as diplomatic either. Pulaski County will get smashed next week by at least 3 tds as gchs_uk9 stated. It won't be close. I expect a running clock.
