There is no team from Louisville in the largest class finals.

Only took 17 years.

If only all the best Louisville teams were not in the same district I would feel really good about this.

Either way, Congrats to Meade County and Scott County.

Rather transparent really.

Need to throw a crumb to the unwashed every couple of decades.

The KHSAA should be happy now. Their machinations have succeeded....at least for this season.

I don't think this is about the KHSAA. In the end, all of the teams that will be staying home had their opportunities and didn't get the job done. From where I sit, it's as it should be. I have a hard time saying T or X are any better than either Meade or Scott Counties this year.

I agree that this year no team from the "super" district proved good enough to advance. But the contrived grouping of the four teams has a stink about it.

After watching Scott Co's JV pummel Highlands, they clearly are the best program in the state. Heck, their JV could win state in several divisions. Good luck to Scott Co.

We'll see next season if that is indeed the case. I don't doubt they likely have the best team in 6A this season. I will be shocked if Meade keeps it close.

As a fan of high school football, who follows Kentucky I think this is a good thing.

No disrespect meant towards schools in Louisville.

If this gives more schools the idea that they can compete and win then I don't mind Trinity not being there right now. 6A has been dismal outside of a few teams. I am hoping this ends up starting a trend in the other big schools so we can have some serious competition from now on. Next season should be fun.

I don't disagree with you. I hope it is more a result of the non-Louisville teams improving than the Louisville teams having subpar years. As they say, a rising tide raises all the ships. (I think Scott County is very good as they have established a consistently good program.)

It is good for 6A football that we have a year with no Louisville teams in the big school title game. As I've said many times before, it is good for someone other than Trinity to win the title. I always add, just not this year. Well, it is this year. We'll be back. I'm making my plans for next year in Bowling Green.
