Had an awesome appetizer charbroiled oysters on the half shell.

 

Talking to a guy today who says "You looking for good places to eat?"

"Yeah."

"Where are you staying?"

"Hampton Inn"

"Oh, they have good food. Eat there."

 

 

WHAT?

 

Go to New Orleans and eat at the Hampton? Might as well go to McDonalds.

 

Reminded me of a line - it's like going to the Sistine Chapel and not looking up.

Expand your horizons, brother. Don't limit your opportunities to experience some of life's great creations. The sauce was outstanding. Sausage had a nice taste. Shrimp was nice.

Mr. B's Bistro on Royale is just awesome! The barbecue shrimp is just a must have for me every time I go. Really messy but worth it. The fried oysters in the half shell appetizer will not disappoint either.

New Orleans is awesome. We stopped in New Orleans for a couple days late in May. We had this discussion on the drive: how many people tell you they know of a good place in New Orleans to get good food? Must go there.
