Stereotypes - They have to be founded somewhere.

I'm talking positional stereotypes here. After watching Barkley absolute look awful yesterday, I have to say, NEVER DRAFT A QB FROM USC.

What are some other schools who are well known for position groups that never seem to do anything in the pros?

RBs from Penn State.

There's some serious chatter that Alabama guys get used up before hitting the pros b/c their practices are so physically demanding and they are going against other top notch athletes every play in practice and against an SEC schedule.

Watch a Monday night game where they have the starting players on each side of the ball intro themselves and say what school they come from. It's amazing to me the # of pros who DON"T come from big, Div I powerhouse schools. I have made it a point to watch those intros and see what schools the guys come from. Was watching a game here recently...might have been Dallas, but something like 8 of the starter off a particular side of the ball were from what one would consider "no name" schools.

Florida Quarterbacks are another group that might be up there.

Always take the Punter for Kentucky! Sad but true these guys pound the ball year after year, I guess practice does make perfect.

:lol2: That's funny, but also very true. I wish Louisville had some of the punters UK has had.

If not for Eddie Lacy, I'd say Bama RBs...

How far back are we going? Shaun Alexander crushes that argument, but he could be the exception to the rule and obviously a much older example.

^I was just thinking recently....

Eddie Lacy

Trent Richardson

Mark Ingram

Le'Ron McClain

Glenn Coffee

Kenneth Darby

Oh you young whippersnapper! Alexander didn't play THAT long ago. Tony Nathan might be a better example...at least he played back in the 80's!
