No one has mentioned one of the big plays of the game. Dixie 4th down pass on their last possession. The ball is caught...very briefly. SK defensive back lays the hammer on the Dixie receiver and the ball pops out to land out of bounds. The Dixie coaches were begging for a completion call and fumble out of bounds. Ref runs in to call incompletion. Turnover on downs. With still a minute and half or so on the clock and the way Dixie had been driving on SK all night, who knows...could have been a different ending with Dixie getting that first down. That was a huge hit. Didn't make note as to who made the hit but it was nice. It was on the Dixie sideline at about their own 35 or so. Anyone else see that? I was wondering what the rule is in high school for determining completions in "bang - bang" plays like that. Any insight would be appreciated. The Dixie coaches were calling for the completion call, but did not heavily contest it when a incompletion was called.

A bunch of people said NKY 6A district is weak. I am glad to stay it is a very great district! Hope they all play tough in the playoffs.

I said this before this season. SK played their worst game and still won. Time to get ready for next week and rest up for the playoffs.

A potentially bigger play in that series (2nd or 3rd down) was when Dixie had a receiver wide open down the middle of the field and the pass had too much air under it and sailed over the receiver's head. A little zip on that ball and the receiver may still be running.

From the angle I had at the time I couldn't tell........but how far past the 1st down marker was he had the catch been ruled good???? from my angle it looked like even had it been ruled a catch he wasn't past the marker.
