Yes you said a bad match up for SK's defense. The SK defense played pretty good. The 4th quarter play when Moore was running 30 yards back the refs missed a clipping penalty the pass went incomplete any ways though.

No one has mentioned one of the big plays of the game. Dixie 4th down pass on their last possession. The ball is caught...very briefly. SK defensive back lays the hammer on the Dixie receiver and the ball pops out to land out of bounds. The Dixie coaches were begging for a completion call and fumble out of bounds. Ref runs in to call incompletion. Turnover on downs. With still a minute and half or so on the clock and the way Dixie had been driving on SK all night, who knows...could have been a different ending with Dixie getting that first down. That was a huge hit. Didn't make note as to who made the hit but it was nice. It was on the Dixie sideline at about their own 35 or so. Anyone else see that? I was wondering what the rule is in high school for determining completions in "bang - bang" plays like that. Any insight would be appreciated. The Dixie coaches were calling for the completion call, but did not heavily contest it when a incompletion was called.

Dixie was having a lot of success running to their right tackle. Especially in the first half, Dixie was dominating the right side LOS. The SK linebackers were having to make the stops 5 and 6 yards deep. SK's left side D line had their hands full.

 

First time seeing B Kuntz this year. Kid has got an incredible arm. SK receivers catch about everything. SK's defense does not seem to be where their offense is.

 

Dixie quarterback is good but will be very, very good, the more he improves his passing decision making and accuracy. With his running ability he will be a true "dual threat". He appeared to be 6'3" - 6'4" or so...how far off am I?

He may have bobble it, but from my vantage point it appeared, that without the hit, he would have caught it. Nice hit.

Not necessarily a bad thing. Long strides and cuts. He made a nice move on the SK left DB in the open field that made the DB look clumsy. The kid can run.

I did enjoy watching the awesome SK linebackers. I'll admit, they were very active and physical. It was cool watching 49, Kyle Mann. Known him since he was little.

The hit #45 Deaton put on Moore was big time but they threw a flag. I was really surprised Moore jumped up he took a big hit tough kid.
