Ohio State 40 Northwestern 30

A lot of money probably changed hands on that last TD when Northwestern desperately threw it back into the end zone trying to pull something out. The line was OSU -7......

As for the game, great effort by Northwestern. Ohio State may not have another challenge until Michigan unless something goes terribly awry.

I was thinking the same thing on the spread

I was thinking the same thing on the spread

That's why I could never gamble. I could not imagine that type of mood swing in either direction, but ESPECIALLY if you lose money on it. I get the slightest taste of that type of thing when something stupid happens at the end of an NFL game affecting fantasy points. But man, with money on the line......

Yep. Penn State would be a more enticing game if it were in Happy Valley, but it isn't. I'd call it a major upset if someone knocks off Ohio State between now and their grudge match with Michigan.

Example 38892762 as to why I do not bet games.

I loved betting on games in college. It is how I bought my Christmas presents one year.

but it is hard on the body watching some of those games.

So was Brent Musburger.

80% of bets was on the Buckeyes, Vegas was not happy!

What a terrible game for Braxton, OSU showed me something tonight, under Tressel they would have folded. Facing adversity on the road against a top 20 team, Bucks come up big!!

What can you say about El Guapo!!!! He refused to lose and was a true warrior, way to put on for the scouts!

Sounds right to me; I figured if anyone else had a chance of beating them other than Michigan, it was Northwestern. I don't see anyone else in the conference having a shot; if someone else beats them in the conference it's a big upset.

Ohio State came out flat, no emotion and NW came ready to play. NW is a very good, very well coached football team. NW came out running more option than ever and OSU hadn't played an option team and I feel sure they may have prepared for it but probably not to a great extent, NW hadn't ran a lot of it before I don't think.

I was disappointed in OSU's defense especially the way they tackled, or didn't tackle. I couldn't count just how many tackles they missed just by arm tackling, not wrapping up and letting the runner get more yardage with several for 1st downs. Ohio State's Carlos Hyde was "The" reason that the Buckeyes won this one. I think that he had around 27 carries for close to 180 yds., he was the work horse with other backs out this game and Hyde more than answered the call.

I am glad that the Buckeyes got the heck out of Chicago with the W, certainly wasn't a good defensive effort but they did stop NW when they absolutely had to have it. As Jimmy V.'s now famous line goes...Survive and Advance.

Some have said that now that OSU has beaten Wisconsin and NW they have a clear path until the game with the team up North. I am concerned about Indiana, the way that bunch throws the ball around and scores that could be trouble if OSU is not ready to play.

Urban Meyer is now at 18-0 as the Buckeyes head coach and hopefully OSU will finish out the reg. season and Big 10 title game unbeaten and then see what happens.

GO BUCKS !!

I certainly agree on Miller, he really cost the Bucks tonight with int., fumbles and just generally not playing well. I thought that Meyer was going to pull the plug on him at one time but he ended up sticking with Braxton.

Hyde was a Beast ! As I said, without #34 tonight, NW wins this one.

Braxton is not 100% but he's playing, it isn't being told but it is the case, that's why he isn't running much. I was more disappointed with his ball security. It's been a tough year for him he has not been 100% since the summer. He is hoping he's close to 100% after the bye but we will see. His patience at the end of the game showed poise.
