Yes, them at Ludlow at the bottom of the top 20 surprised me. Louisville Holy Cross is a team that dropped off the radar but looks like they are coming on based on those rankings.

 

I also was a little surprised Bethlehem was ranked that high. They have the worst SOS in the top 20, which I figured would have them ranked much lower.

If Beechwood beats Covington Catholic this week, there will be very clear separation between them and Russellville with Beechwood being a clear #2.

Bellevue is a top 10 team.

 

I think you're right. I would have them ahead of Paintsville and maybe ahead of Williamsburg. I'm really anxious to see how Bellevue plays against Beechwood.

Looks pretty good. I would had expected Raceland to be a slot or two lower and I would think that Pikeville would rank above Fairview. Neither of those are big jumps / moves, as another stated in an earlier post you could probably take 3-9 , switch them around some and would have little argument.

With all the teams that have to play OPEN, as was said earlier could cause a shake up but then again OPEN has blown by everyone. OPEN kicks all opponet's butt straight in to the next week.

Raceland is too high. As said in the Raceland/Lawrence Co finals thread, we are too slow and not deep enough in all positions in order to be a top 3 school in 1A.

Covington Catholic has three starters out. Beechwood has two starters out. Of course, the loss of the QB on the Cov Cath side is more of a blow. Cov Cath has beaten two top 10 6A schools and is much better than any team Russellville has played. Beechwood will have to play their best game of the year to beat them.

Let's get a bit real here...

 

1. They are still ranked 5th in the current 4A polls and 3rd overall in NKY.

2. They only have 3 starters out --hardly "Riddled with starters out"

3. They are still a VERY GOOD football team.

I think if Beechwood loses but plays within a couple of scores, they should move up to 2, but if they lose by more than that, Rsv remains at 2. If Bwood gets blown out, by 25 or more, they may move down a spot or 2, depending what others do.
