Dusty's last game as a Red?

Who would trade for Phillips? There will be no takers.

I would love to see Dusty gone. I don't think he can do anything more with the team than he has done. A lot like Marvin.....Good enough to get them to the playoffs, not good enough to win once they're there.

His decisions in the postseason never work. From starting Volquez game 1 in 2010, to playing Rolen over Frazier in the postseason last year, to starting Cueto last night. Every single one backfires on him.

I hope Dusty is gone. Maybe PETA Tony will come out of retirement. Not sure how I'd feel about it, but would far prefer him to the pick.

As for BP, I love watching him play defense. It's a great joy to see some of the plays he makes. I have to wonder what kind of veteran leadership he provides. I have to assume it's crap. As much as I like him, it may be addition by subtraction, especially if the return is significant.

The notion that BP wouldn't be a significant trade piece is beyond misguided.

NO takers for a defender who changes the game AND can drive in 100?

Who would you have started last night?

Who would you have started last night?

Perhaps I'd have gone with Cueto, but his leash was waaaay toooooo loooooong. One and done, did anyone explain the format to the pick?

While I do think the Reds need a new skipper to light a fire, only a few of the players really wanted to be their last night.

Curt Schilling was on ESPN this morning taking Hannigan and Dusty to task for not coming out to get Cueto to relax. He said it was obvious he was overthrowing on every pitch yet no one came out to tell him that he was.

2b has a brutal attrition rate, Phillips is on that other side of 30 now.

Seeing as how Latos started on Wednesday, so his elbow issue should've been known then or on the off-day, I probably would've adjusted the rotation and moved Homer back to the WC game.

Even starting Cueto, he should've been done after the 2nd inning. It was clear he was throwing BP up there.

I won't comment on Handoza, other than I'd love to see him sit and watch Meso play next season. I agree that a trip should have come earlier, but in a game where everyone is available, even in his interview between innings, you could tell Dusty couldn't have had his own toothpick hammered into his anus he was so uptight.

Nope

Yep

Cueto was the right call. I do agree that he was out there too long. Needed a shorter leash.
