Thought this might be the year Brossart could sneak into the playoffs with a district win but scores that I've seen this year doesn't seem to support that.

Give 1A Holy Cross credit for a tough schedule so far Holmes, Simon Kenton, Beechwood and Scott. It has resulted on a 0-4 start but I expect a victory this weekend.

Yes, this is a tough game to predict because Holy Cross has played a tough schedule and Brossart has not. This game is all about Jalen Beal. If he can stay on the field, he will be the best player in the game and will take it over. I'll assume Beal is playing and healthy and go with Holy Cross. I do know one thing. If Holy Cross loses this game, they will not win a game this year.

HC will win if Beal plays. Not sure why he didn't play past the first quarter against Scott. It was a game when he was in. If he doesn't play, its a toss up

Holy Cross should win this one comfortably. Even though the HC defense is suspect, I do not see Brossart putting up enough points.

Ted Macdonald is lost for the year with a wrist injury that will not heal. Huge loss for the Mustangs. Big strong lineman. I feel very bad that this 3 sport player had to miss his senior season of football. Hopefully he is healed up in time for hoops.

I would love to see Brossart win this one, but know it will take some extraordinary effort. Not sure if the coaches of Brossart were intentionally not showing much offense against Ludlow, or they don't know how to call plays on a wet and muddy field. They kept the ball in the middle of the field in the mud too much instead of getting it on the hashes and using the boundries where there was grass and not mud. The play calling will definitely have to improve if they want to give their kids a chance.
