sportsfan41
Wow!!! Seems like the Bearcats are getting worse... They seem to be a rather up and down team. This score on paper doesn't look too good at all though.
TheDeuce
0-0 heading to the 4th? Sounds boring.
sportsfan41
0-0 heading to the 4th? Sounds boring. More like a defensive battle of wills!!! Between a team we knew was bad and a team that we can't figure out quite what they are.
gametime
Ugly game and that is putting it mildly. The offense just can't get out of its own way right now with dumb penalties, turnovers and poor execution on 3rd down. Result is dominating the stats, but being tied at 0 against a bad football team this afternoon...
John Anthony
Wow.. Miami is the worst football team ive seen in a decade. Bad night for UC but at least they won.
FanofMany33
Wow.. Miami is the worst football team ive seen in a decade. Bad night for UC but at least they won. If Miami is a "bad football team", what does that make UC? That is a decent team with a really bad coaching staff that has no clue what to do with them. If you watched the game, you would notice that talent wise, UC is not far ahead of Miami at this point. But the offensive scheme and decision making on plays calls is the biggest joke at Miami. The new AD Salyer will fix this and Miami will regain their status to be respectable. An entire team doesn't have "bad nights".

Second. The situation in Oxford is going to take 5 years at best to fix. Miami had a great showing considering the awful roster and had -7 yards offense in the 2nd half. Hell they had 4 first downs the entire game. FOUR. 87 yards offense for the game. Total. That isn't "scheme". It's really bad players...
gchs_uk9
I agree on Miami's bad talent. After they played UK, I honestly thought there might be more QB/RB/WR skill at Trinity or Bowling Green than in Oxford. They were a bad team. Are you a disgruntled parent of a non-accepted recruit or something? How much do you honestly know about the kids on the roster beyond what you see on the field currently or read on someone's personal post. It is possible to take talented kids and not produce because of bad schematics. Obviously you don't know football if you think football depends totally on the athlete. So, I guess bad talent won the MAC championship and defeated NI Huskies in the Go Daddy Bowl prior to this staff three years ago, and the quarterback today is the same one that won those games. So what's your comment or "opinion" on that. It didn't take Haywood 5 years to turn it around (only 2), so again what makes you think that it would take 5 years?? Just curious :lol2::lol2::lol2:

Put Bouch'e or Gearing in the right system and that offense would be different. That team is not built for the triple option yet.

Just curious :lol2::lol2::lol2: I am very familiar with almost all of the talent on the Miami roster. It is at or near the bottom of the MAC on both sides of the ball. That's not a good place to be. I do agree about the option. I think Boucher is pretty solid as a passing QB, and is not the type of QB to run anything close to an option system. That doesn't change the fact they aren't very good at WR, RB or on the OL. Reality is, there isn't a system out there that would give him a chance to succeed with the talent around him. I did think Kern, Doolety and Nunely played well for them on D yesterday. All three did a good job keeping the UC speed in front of them and making plays to put pressure on Kay to keep drives alive. It was also the first time in 3 games they had anyone show life on that side of the ball. Let me ask you this. Coming in to the game Miami was dead last in offense and defense in FBS. After the UC game they are 123 of 123 on O and 120 of 123 on D. You really think that's all "scheme"? And you question if I've ever watched football? :lol2: Right now Miami is a bad football program, and it is going to take a while to get the talent level back to respectable. That doesn't mean every kid on the roster stinks, but it does mean that overall Miami is in a very rough spot that won't be easy to dig out of. That spot is dead last on O and 4th from the bottom on D. Yeah. Just the scheme. Nothing to see here... :lol2:

"That Miami team is flat out awful from a talent standpoint. Awful. Top to bottom." Yes, Miami is in a very rough spot right now, and things will change sooner than people think. I just watched the replay for a second look to make sure I wasn't being biased. (As I despise that UC thug team) Miami's talent may be a step below UC as it should be because of UC's conference status and a few other things that Miami doesn't have to offer recruits. But, if you watch the game closely, Miami's flat out "awful" untalented players played with enough talent to keep this "talented" UC team scoreless until late in the 4th. I saw plays where the Miami Oline flat out whooped the UC d-lineman, so there is talent on that Oline. Miami is 0 an 40 something on third down conversions. IMO that's play call selection just as much as execution. so, yes, the scheme has a lot to do with, as that's the thought of many god minded football people that has spoken on what's happening at Miami. Again I'm sorry you have such ill will towards an outstanding University with average student athletes for their football program.
