Reports are now out that Logano got help from another Ford team from Front Row Motorsports as the #36 slowed to let him pass in the final laps. The spotters worked out a deal! All of this is on audio. Not only MWR screwed Gordon now Front Row Motorsports and Penske did also. Nascar does not have the balls to do what is right!

Penske Racing may have cut a deal with Front Row Motorsports in the closing laps at Richmond for track position to help get Joey Logano in the Chase for the Sprint Cup championship.

In radio communications reviewed Wednesday by The Associated Press for Front Row driver David Gilliland, his spotter informs the team of a request to let Logano pass him in the final laps of Saturday night's race.

Logano was trying to claim a spot in the 12-driver Chase field. Both Penske and Front Row are Ford teams and thus considered partners.

Jerry Markland/Getty ImagesJoey Logano has a chance to win this year's Sprint Cup trophy, but reports call into question the means used to get him into the 12-driver playoff.

A voice on the radio, believed to be crew chief Frank Kerr, asks whom the request is coming from. The spotter replies: "We've got the big dog and all his cronies."

Kerr then says: "Travis knows what I've been asking for," an apparent reference to Penske Racing competition director Travis Geisler.

Logano passed Gilliland on a restart and finished 22nd, one spot ahead of Gilliland and good enough for a berth in the Chase field.

"Good job, good job, man," the spotter says after the race. "Hopefully we'll get something out of that."

How is this differnent than allowing your teammate to pass you?

When you affect the outcome of who all goes into the playoffs big difference. If a NFL team let someone beat them in the last week of the season just to get a certain team in or out is flat out wrong.

Jr was going to let Gordon pass him to improve his chances of getting in. I don't see a difference.

To fix the problem let team owners only have one driver.

Or here's a crazy thing...if you're going to let everybody drive in the final ten races (whether they're "in" or not)...then you might as well let everybody compete for the championship.

But the difference was HMS and Jr. decided that was not the right way of doing things.

I'm not buying that for a second...

Jr. didn't pull over and let Gordon bye, so what are you not buying?

Even Napa, 5 Hour Engery, and Aaron's does not agree with how things was handled. Looking at rather they want to continue their relationship with MWR in the future. On NASCAR radio, Chocolate Myers even said that Darrell Waltrip didn't agree.

The penalties are almost correct. Jeff Gordon should be in also.

I agree! Even more after the news this afternoon from the games the #22 and #36 teams pulled.

Now there's an idea.

Earlier in the year Matt Kenseth was leading at the end of the race on older tires. They were playing his radio on air and he was telling his spotter to get them slower cars out of the way. Which his spotter responded he was. It was clear to see that they were getting out of his way so those on fresher tires couldn't run him down. So if thats the case Kenseth ought to have been penalized. During the course of a race if a teammate or friend catches a slower car they will move over and let them go. Even if there on the same lap. This has went on for years. It's BS if you ask me.

If NAPA wants to leave Michael Waltrip racing for doing what they can to get there sponsorship in the chase. That's a croc of crap as well. Michael Waltrip has made that company millions of dollars over the years and now they want to snub there nose at him. I call people like that common !
